Oral histories and transcriptions of workers at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (1994-1996). Also videos of performance rehearsals at the Portsouth Music Hall, poster, and ephemera regarding the Shipyard Project.
The goal of the project was to raise awareness and support for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard when it was facing closure. The stories of shipyard workers were put to music and dance and performed at the Music Hall, Portsmouth. This was a grant-funded project from the National Endowment for the Arts. Copyright information for use of the oral histories is unclear.
