The Portsmouth Symphony kicks off its season with a spectacular concert featuring brass in Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, winds in Mozart’s Serenade No. 10 (Gran Partita), and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. Artist-in-Residence Billy Butler will participate by bringing a theatrical spice to the event that will set the stage for the rest of the season. Following intermission, the Portsmouth Athenaeum will once again present the Prize in the the Humanities to a Portsmouth High School student.
