Director Tom Clark of TCPictures debuts Picture Portsmouth, a documentary of Portsmouth’s history, featuring a “then & now” photo comparison and a computer model video exploring the evolution of Market Square from its earliest days. Most images are from the Athenaeum’s photographic collection. The premiere is at 7 p.m. in the Research Library.

Seacoast filmmaker and founder of TCPictures, Tom Clark has produced many videos of New Hampshire. In 2008, Tom released “Drop-Frame: Portsmouth,” a documentary presented in time-lapse photography. He later produced a companion piece “Drop-Frame: NH’s Lakes Region.” His design work includes the First Night Portsmouth logo (2009) and New England Fall Astronomy Festival. His 3-D computer models have been published on GoogleEarth.  Additionally, Tom has featured his work in Athenaeum exhibits (Ephemera: The Art of Everyday Printed Matter, North End: A Lost Portsmouth Neighborhood200 Years of the Portsmouth Athenaeum: Collect, Preserve, Share, and Treasures of the Athenaeum, Part IV:  Renewal, Growth, & a Public Research Library, 1980-2017).
