Scope and Content
Collection contains records and materials documenting Joyce Zabarsky’s involvement with Portsmouth’s Historic District. Zabarsky was instrumental in the formation of an HDC in Portsmouth and the collection includes a great deal of materials from 1972 when a group of concerned citizens worked to save several endangered historic properties. The collection includes architectural surveys, meeting agendas and minutes, and materials from the South End Association, a group interested in the preservation of the South End.
