Have you wondered what secrets lie beyond the cannons and green doors on Market Square? Our 45-minute tour offers a glimpse into spaces generally reserved for members and offers an introduction to the history of the Portsmouth Athenaeum, Portsmouth’s oldest existing library.
The tour will start at our members’ entrance at 9 Market Square. Please knock on the door within five minutes of the start time.
Registration Information Space is limited. Online registration is available until 24 hours before the tour. To purchase any remaining spots after that time, please come to the third-floor research library after 1 p.m.
