In 2016, Roland Goodbody, contract archivist at the Portsmouth Athenaeum, cataloged the NH-Maine border dispute papers of Harrison “Workie” Workman (1919-2007), a Portsmouth resident and lobsterman.  MS120 Harrison Workman Border Dispute Papers, 1969-2004 documents Workie’s tireless efforts to establish the historic boundary between the two states. The collection chronicles the “Lobster Wars” in the 1970s and jurisdiction over the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in the 1990s.

New Hampshire Public Radio’s Jason Moon interviewed Roland in “The Legacy of the N.H.-Maine Lobster War and Why It May Wage On.”
