DESCRIPTION:Proprietor Fred Schubert discusses selected endeavors in Scienc
 e and Technology during the period 1950-2000. Surprisingly\, in a time of 
 large projects involving thousands of contributors\, individual stories ar
 e often still significant. Further\, we find\, that when managers of a pro
 gram lack insight into its technical aspects\, things can go seriously awr
 y.\n\nThis program will be in the third-floor Shaw Research Library and vi
 a Zoom.\n\nDue to limited space\, you must register for in-person seating.
