 rtain Times" LIVESTREAM ONLY
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: In-person seating is full\, and we are no longer accept
 ing space on our waitlist.\n\nThe first Current events lecture of 2026 sch
 eduled for Thursday January 29th will feature Jake Sullivan (former Nation
 al Security Advisor) in conversation with Gil Barndollar (Athenaeum Propri
 etor). The topic will be "America Alone? Foreign Policy in Uncertain Times
 ."\n\nThe lecture will be livestreamed (free for members and $25 for non-m
 embers) and there will be a post-event reception.\n\nFor the 2026 Current 
 Events Series\, each program begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Shaw Research Libr
 ary (unless otherwise noted). Reservations for each program are required a
 s seating is limited. If unable to keep a reservation\, please call again 
 to release the seat for someone else. Attendance at programs is free for A
 thenaeum Proprietors\, Subscribers\, and Friends. Guests and members of th
 e public are welcome to attend the entire series by becoming a Friend of t
 he Athenaeum for as little as $25 per year\, payable at the door. Admissio
 n to this individual program is $25.\n\nYou can still attend the event via
  our livestream. Please sign up below.\n\n 	The livestream registration wi
 ndow will close 48 hours ahead of the event.\n 	The livestream link will b
 e sent to registered attendees on Wednesday\, January 28.\n\nIf you have a

 on fee includes a Friend of the Athenaeum membership\, which allows for fr
